Hanafuda is a card game played by Hawaii locals for over a century. Na Pua Hawaii are the flowers of Hawaii. Hanafuda Na Pua Hawaii is a hybrid game where the traditional Japanese game of hanafuda is played with Hawaiian native plants, and animals. The plants and animals on the Hanafuda Na Pua Hawaii cards are either endemic or brought by the Polynesian voyagers when they first came to the Hawaiian Islands over 1,000 years ago. We have included explanatory cards which name the plants, animals, and Hawaiian objects pictured on the cards. Hanafuda Na Pua Hawaii is easy to learn and fun to play.
